Sandra Susan Davis of Lakeside Drive, Edinboro, Pennsylvania, formerly of New Wilmington, passed away Oct. 26, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie. She was 71 years old.

Born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to the late Gerald and Donna Womer Moore, she married David Davis, who survives at the residence in Edinboro.

Sandra formerly was the co-owner of the Quilting Bee in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. She attended Jameson School of Nursing and worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. She retired as a school nurse within the Erie Public Schools.

She applied her nursing skills over 15 years on mission trips to the Dominican Republic, starting in 2007, where she sponsored many students in their continued education.

She and her husband, David Davis, resided for 17 years in Edinboro, where she presided as secretary and coordinated many events. They loved traveling around the world. They also traveled to Spain multiple times and walked the Camino trail on a pilgrimage.

In addition to her husband, David, Sandra is survived by a daughter, Christen Joy (Matthew) Robison of Morganton, North Carolina; a son, David Andrew (Sara) Giordano of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, Peter and Gerry Moore.

Sandra was preceded in death by a brother, James Moore.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at The Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, PA.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church, 229 S. Market St., New Wilmington.
